On January 30, 2018, AARP, the United Nations Focal Point on Ageing (DESA), and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) hosted a luncheon briefing and an evening reception with a focus on poverty eradication.
This year’s event was held during the 56th session of the UN Commission for Social Development whose theme is “Strategies for eradicating poverty to achieve sustainable development for all.”
